# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese.
02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened.
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 1 large egg.
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
06 - Zest of 1 large orange.
07 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
08 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
10 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
11 - 1/2 cup candied orange peel (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
03 - Beat ricotta, butter, and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and orange zest.
04 - In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
05 - Gradually add dry mix to wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips and candied peel.
06 - Drop rounded tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart onto the baking sheet.
07 - Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
08 - Cool cookies for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
