Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

In a medium saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until smooth and bubbling.

Remove from heat, add vanilla, and pour toffee mixture onto prepared baking sheet.

Quickly sprinkle toasted pecans evenly over the toffee. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Remove from oven, cool for a minute, then melt chocolate chips and spread over toffee and pecans.

Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 1 hour to harden.
