01 -
In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning while the meat is cooking.
02 -
Add about ⅓ cup of mini pepperoni to the skillet with the beef. Let them cook together for 2-3 minutes until the pepperoni starts to get crispy and releases its oils for extra flavor.
03 -
Drain any excess grease from the pan, then add the minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to let the garlic burn.
04 -
Add the marinara sauce and cream cheese to the skillet. Stir well, breaking up the cream cheese and mixing it in completely until you have a smooth, creamy sauce.
05 -
Add the frozen tortellini directly to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, or until the tortellini are heated through and tender.
06 -
Top with the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, plus extra pepperoni. Either broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes until bubbly, or cover and let sit on low heat until the cheese melts completely. Serve hot.
