Pizza Tortellini Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 19 oz frozen cheese tortellini
03 - 24 oz jar marinara sauce
04 - 4 oz cream cheese (½ block)
05 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic

→ Pizza Toppings

06 - ⅓ cup mini pepperoni (plus extra for topping)
07 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
08 - ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

→ Seasonings

09 - ½ teaspoon salt
10 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
12 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

# Instructions:

01 - In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning while the meat is cooking.
02 - Add about ⅓ cup of mini pepperoni to the skillet with the beef. Let them cook together for 2-3 minutes until the pepperoni starts to get crispy and releases its oils for extra flavor.
03 - Drain any excess grease from the pan, then add the minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to let the garlic burn.
04 - Add the marinara sauce and cream cheese to the skillet. Stir well, breaking up the cream cheese and mixing it in completely until you have a smooth, creamy sauce.
05 - Add the frozen tortellini directly to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, or until the tortellini are heated through and tender.
06 - Top with the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, plus extra pepperoni. Either broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes until bubbly, or cover and let sit on low heat until the cheese melts completely. Serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Use frozen tortellini directly from the freezer - no need to thaw or pre-cook them
02 - The cream cheese creates a rich, creamy sauce that binds everything together
03 - Mini pepperoni work best as they distribute more evenly throughout the dish
04 - If your skillet isn't oven-safe, just cover and let the cheese melt on the stovetop over low heat
