Strawberry Daiquiri Shots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Jello Mixture

01 - 3 oz strawberry jello mix (1 box)
02 - 1 cup boiling water
03 - 1/4 cup cold water
04 - 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
05 - 1/2 cup white rum

→ For the Strawberries and Garnish

06 - 40 whole strawberries (as large as you can find)
07 - Granulated sugar for garnish
08 - Lime wedges for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl or large 4-cup measuring cup with a spout, whisk together the strawberry jello mix and 1 cup of boiling water until the jello is completely dissolved with no granules left.
02 - Stir in the cold water, fresh lime juice, and white rum into the dissolved jello. Mix everything together really well so it's evenly blended.
03 - Using a strawberry corer or a sharp paring knife, carefully remove the stem and hollow out a cavity in each strawberry big enough to hold the jello mixture. Trim a small slice off the bottom of each strawberry so it can stand up straight.
04 - Using a food syringe, squirt bottle, or just a steady hand, carefully fill each hollowed strawberry with the jello mixture. Try not to spill!
05 - Place the filled strawberries upright on a tray or dish and put them in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours so the jello can set completely.
06 - Right before serving, roll the top of each strawberry in granulated sugar for a sweet crunch, and add a small lime wedge as garnish for that fresh daiquiri vibe. Serve chilled!

# Notes:

01 - For a stronger kick, use 3/4 cup rum and skip the cold water - use 1 cup boiling water, 1/4 cup lime juice, and 3/4 cup rum.
02 - The number of shots depends on strawberry size - each usually holds a couple teaspoons of jello. Any extra mixture can go into regular jello shot cups.
03 - Save time by boiling water in the microwave right in the container you'll use for mixing.
04 - Look for the biggest strawberries you can find - they're easier to hollow out and hold more jello!
