Strawberry Shortbread Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 ounce freeze-dried strawberries.
02 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
03 - 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened.
04 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
06 - 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze.
07 - 2 tablespoons milk for glaze.

# Instructions:

01 - Process freeze-dried strawberries into powder. Optional: reserve 1 teaspoon for glaze.
02 - Whisk strawberry powder with flour.
03 - Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in flour mixture on low speed until combined.
04 - Shape dough into disc, wrap in plastic. Chill 15 minutes.
05 - Roll to 1/4 inch thick on floured surface. Cut shapes and place on lined sheet.
06 - Chill cut cookies 15 minutes.
07 - Bake at 350°F for 15-17 minutes until just set.
08 - Mix glaze ingredients. Drizzle or dip cooled cookies. Let set 15 minutes.

# Notes:

01 - Double chilling helps maintain shape.
02 - Can skip glaze or strawberry powder in glaze.
03 - Optional extra strawberry crumbs on top.
