Texas Toast Sloppy Joes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sloppy Joe Filling

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
03 - 1 cup ketchup
04 - ½ cup bottled barbecue sauce
05 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
06 - 2 tablespoons sugar

→ Assembly

07 - 1 box (8 slices) frozen garlic Texas toast
08 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or more to taste)

# Instructions:

01 - Brown and crumble 1 pound ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
02 - Return meat to skillet and add diced tomatoes, ketchup, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Stir until well combined.
03 - Cover and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes. While this is cooking, prepare the frozen garlic Texas toast according to package directions.
04 - When garlic Texas toast is ready, spoon the filling on top of each slice and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. If you prefer melted cheese, you can put these in the oven briefly to brown the cheese on top.
