Fruitcake Cookies (Print Version)
Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened.

1 cup granulated sugar.

1 cup packed brown sugar.

2 large eggs.

1 tsp vanilla extract.

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour.

1 tsp baking soda.

1/2 tsp salt.

1 cup chopped candied fruit.

1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts.

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon.

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg.
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture.

Stir in the chopped candied fruit, nuts, raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly combined.

Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them slightly apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
