Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.
02 - 1/2 tsp baking soda.
03 - 1/2 tsp salt.
04 - 1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
05 - 1 cup brown sugar, packed.
06 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
07 - 2 large eggs.
08 - 2 tsp vanilla extract.
09 - 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk).
10 - 1/2 cup red & green holiday M&M’s or sprinkles.

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
04 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and holiday M&M’s or sprinkles.
05 - Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each. Press extra M&M’s or sprinkles on top of each cookie if desired.
06 - Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
