Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

To make the brownie filling: Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl. Add cocoa powder, flour, and salt, mixing until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely and cut into 1-inch squares.

To make the cookie dough: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients, then fold in chocolate chips.

To assemble the cookies: Scoop 2 tbsp of cookie dough, flatten it, place a brownie square in the center, and wrap the dough around it. Repeat for the remaining dough and brownies.

Place cookies on baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden.
