Hamburger Potato Casserole (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1½ lbs ground beef.
02 - 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced.
03 - 1 medium onion, chopped.
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced.
05 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
06 - 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup.
07 - ½ cup milk.
08 - Salt and pepper to taste.
09 - 1 tbsp olive oil (optional).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large skillet, cook 1½ lbs ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
03 - (Optional) Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic in olive oil until soft.
04 - Mix cooked beef with onions, garlic, salt, and pepper.
05 - In a separate bowl, mix condensed cream of mushroom soup with milk until smooth.
06 - In a greased 9x13-inch dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, then half of the beef mixture, and pour half of the soup mixture over. Repeat layers.
07 - Top with 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
08 - Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until golden.
09 - Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

01 - This comforting casserole is made with layers of seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese.
02 - Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
03 - Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
