Jello Poke Cake (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 box (15.25 oz) white cake mix.
02 - 1 cup water.
03 - 1/2 cup vegetable oil.
04 - 3 large eggs.
05 - 1 box (3 oz) strawberry Jello.
06 - 1 cup boiling water.
07 - 1/2 cup cold water.
08 - 1 cup whipped topping.
09 - 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries (optional).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan. Prepare the white cake mix according to package instructions, using water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
02 - In a bowl, dissolve strawberry Jello in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Add 1/2 cup cold water and mix well.
03 - Once the cake has cooled, use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the surface of the cake.
04 - Pour the Jello mixture evenly over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or until the Jello is fully set.
05 - Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake. Garnish with chopped fresh strawberries if desired.
