Kool-Aid Marshmallows (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin.
02 - 1 ½ cups granulated sugar.
03 - 1 cup light corn syrup.
04 - ¼ tsp salt.
05 - 1 ½ cups cold water (divided).
06 - 1 packet Kool-Aid mix (any flavor).
07 - Powdered sugar (for dusting).

Instructions:

01 - Combine gelatin with half a cup of cold water in a stand mixer bowl and let it rest while you prepare the syrup.
02 - In a saucepan, merge the sugar, corn syrup, salt, and the rest of the water. Heat on medium until it reaches 240°F measured by a candy thermometer.
03 - Gradually introduce the boiling syrup to the gelatin blend while operating the mixer on low. Amplify speed gradually to high and continue beating for 12-15 minutes until fluffy.
04 - Incorporate the Kool-Aid mix and beat until thoroughly blended.
05 - Spread the mixture evenly in a greased pan, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and let it firm up for four hours or until the next day.
06 - Slice into squares, sprinkle with additional powdered sugar, and delight in!.
