Apple Pie Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Refrigerated pie crusts: 1 box (or homemade), for the cookie base.
02 - Apple pie filling: 1 cup, chopped into small pieces for the filling.
03 - Caramel sauce: 1/2 cup, for gooey sweetness.
04 - Egg: 1, beaten for the egg wash.
05 - Granulated sugar: 1/4 cup, for sprinkling.
06 - Ground cinnamon: 1 tsp, for flavor.

# Instructions:

01 - Roll out the pie crusts on a floured surface and cut out 2-3 inch circles using a cookie cutter or a glass.
02 - Place half of the dough circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Add a spoonful of chopped apple pie filling to each and drizzle with caramel sauce.
03 - Cover each filled circle with another dough circle and press the edges with a fork to seal.
04 - Brush the tops with beaten egg. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the cookies.
05 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown.
06 - Let the cookies cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature with extra caramel drizzle if desired.

# Notes:

01 - The edges should be well-sealed to prevent the filling from leaking during baking.
02 - Chopping the apple pie filling into small pieces ensures an even filling for each cookie.
03 - These cookies pair perfectly with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
