In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, condensed cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, dry ranch seasoning, and 1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese. Mix until well combined.

Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the crumbled bacon over the top.

Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the chicken mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Then, sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tater tots are crispy.
