Chewy Fudge Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup (200g) unsalted butter.
02 - 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar.
03 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
04 - 1 cup (250g) all-purpose flour.
05 - 1 cup (250g) semi-sweet chocolate chips.
06 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt.
08 - 1 cup (120g) chopped walnuts or almonds (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 350°F. Line 8x8 pan with parchment.
02 - Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Mix in vanilla extract.
04 - Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl.
05 - Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mix until just combined.
06 - Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
07 - Press into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until edges golden.
08 - Cool completely before cutting into bars.
