Deviled Eggs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 6 Large eggs
02 - 1/4 tsp kosher salt (table salt is fine but use less)
03 - 2 1/2 tbsp Miracle Whip
04 - 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
05 - 1 tsp Yellow mustard
06 - 1/4 tsp Granulated sugar
07 - 2 tbsp Sweet Relish
08 - A dash of black pepper (optional)
09 - Paprika and chives for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Use a separate pan or bowl and add ice and water for an ice bath. This will be used later to cool the eggs after they have cooked.
02 - Select a pot large enough for the eggs to move freely while cooking, then place the eggs into the pot. Add salt and enough water to cover the eggs (about 4-5 cups depending on your pot size). Turn on heat and bring water to a boil.
03 - Once the water starts boiling, lower the heat until the water is no longer boiling. Use an open tea strainer to lower the eggs into the hot water.
04 - Once the eggs have been placed into the water, turn the heat back up to boiling and boil for about 14 minutes.
05 - After the timer goes off, take the eggs out of the water and place in the cold water that was prepared earlier. Leave the eggs in the cold water until they are completely cooled, about 10 to 15 minutes.
06 - Carefully peel each egg, ensuring no shells are left. Place them on a plate, take a sharp knife and cut the eggs lengthwise (the long way), halving them.
07 - Remove the yolk from the center of each egg half. Mash the yolks very well, then add Miracle Whip, vinegar, mustard, and sugar and blend until smooth. Add the relish and black pepper if using.
08 - Using a piping bag or a spoon, add the egg yolk mixture and pipe into egg white halves. Garnish with paprika and chives if desired.
09 - Place the deviled eggs in the refrigerator in a covered dish until ready to serve.

# Notes:

01 - For easier peeling, use eggs that are at least a week old.
02 - If you don't have Miracle Whip, you can substitute mayonnaise, but the flavor will be less tangy.
03 - For best results, prepare these up to 24 hours in advance to allow flavors to meld.
