Easter Dirt Cups (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Pudding Mixture

01 - 1 package (3.9 oz.) vanilla instant pudding mix
02 - 2 cups cold milk
03 - 1 container (8 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
04 - Food coloring (suggested: purple and pink)

→ For the Dirt and Decorations

05 - 1 package Oreo cookies, finely crushed with filling removed
06 - Shredded coconut
07 - Candy eggs (like mini egg candies)
08 - Peeps marshmallow chicks or bunnies
09 - Food coloring for coconut

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla instant pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes. Let it stand for 5 minutes to set slightly.
02 - Divide the pudding mixture evenly between two bowls. Add purple food coloring to one bowl and pink food coloring to the other (or use your preferred colors). Stir until you achieve the desired pastel colors.
03 - Gently fold the thawed Cool Whip into each bowl of colored pudding until well incorporated. This will create a lighter, mousse-like texture.
04 - Add one tablespoon of crushed Oreo cookies to the bottom of each mason jar or serving cup. Top with a layer of one colored pudding mixture.
05 - Repeat the layers, alternating between crushed Oreos and the different colored pudding mixtures. Finish with a layer of crushed Oreos on top.
06 - Refrigerate the dirt cups for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend and the dessert to set properly.
07 - Place shredded coconut in a container with a lid. Add a few drops of green food coloring and a touch of water. Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the coconut is evenly colored to resemble grass.
08 - Just before serving, sprinkle the colored coconut on top of the dirt cups. Arrange candy eggs and Peeps on top to create a festive Easter scene.

# Notes:

01 - Can be made up to 24 hours in advance (add decorations just before serving)
02 - Mason jars or clear plastic cups work well for serving
03 - For a quicker version, you can use just one color of pudding
04 - These are perfect for Easter gatherings or spring celebrations
