# Ingredients:

13 - 1/4-1/3 cup powdered sugar (for glaze).

# Instructions:

01 - In a mixing bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar using a mixer for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
02 - Add baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt to the mixture and mix until combined.
03 - Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, lime zest, and lime juice until fully incorporated.
04 - Gradually add all-purpose flour and optional food coloring, mixing until the dough forms. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
05 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Scoop the dough into 1-tbsp-sized balls and roll them in granulated sugar to coat.
06 - Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
07 - For the glaze, mix melted butter, lime juice, and powdered sugar in a small bowl until smooth. Drizzle or spread the glaze on the cookies while they’re still warm.
08 - Let the cookies cool completely before serving.
