One Pan Skillet Lasagna (Print Version)

One-pan skillet meal with ground beef and Italian sausage, pasta sauce, beef broth, broken lasagna sheets, and ricotta and mozzarella cheese, finished in the oven.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Meat and Sauce

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 1 lb Italian sausage
03 - 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
04 - 1 tablespoon tomato paste
05 - 24 oz pasta sauce
06 - 3 cups beef broth
07 - 1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
09 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
11 - Salt and black pepper to taste

→ For the Lasagna

12 - 7 lasagna sheets, broken into pieces
13 - 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
14 - 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage, ground beef, and diced onions. Cook until both meats are fully browned with no pink remaining. Drain off the excess grease.
02 - Mix in the tomato paste and cook for about 1 minute. Stir in the pasta sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, beef bouillon powder, salt, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer.
03 - Break the lasagna sheets into smaller pieces and add them to the skillet. Cover with a lid and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and has absorbed the broth.
04 - Stir in the ricotta cheese until well combined. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
05 - Transfer the skillet to a 350 degree oven (or just finish on the stovetop) and bake for about 10 minutes until the mozzarella is melted and bubbly.
06 - Serve this one-pan skillet lasagna hot right from the pan. It's cheesy, hearty, and ready in about 30 minutes!

# Notes:

01 - Using both ground beef and Italian sausage gives you extra flavor - you get the richness of sausage plus the classic beef taste.
02 - Breaking the lasagna sheets into pieces means you get a bit of pasta in every bite - like deconstructed lasagna.
03 - The ricotta stirred in at the end makes the whole dish creamy without needing a white sauce.
04 - This is a true one-pan meal - everything cooks in the same skillet!
05 - The total time from start to finish is under 35 minutes - perfect for a weeknight dinner.
06 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
